Stalida: more info for your favourite destination

Stalida is a small coastal village located 30km northeast of Heraklion and only 3km from Chersonissos and Malia. It is a well known holiday destination as it allots not only many luxurious hotels, beautiful, sandy, shallow and clean beaches but  also a rare variety of Cretan palm trees. The area is an ideal destination for families and visitors of younger age. The big difference compared to Malia is that Stalida is more peaceful while it offers many shops, restaurants, cafeterias and bars.

A wide variety of outdoor activities are available at Stalida such as horse riding and hiking. Hiking at the Bulgarian Trail that leads from Stalida to Mochos village will thrill you. From Mochos, there is another trail called Maliotiko that leads to Malia and can be used as an alternative  route.

 At Stalida Beach visitors can enjoy many water sports. Furthermore, daily trips to the small island of Dia are available. Chersonissos and Malia are  close and offer many more options for entertainment such as restaurants and bars with rich nightlife, plus amazing beaches. The transportation to Chersonissos, Malia, Heraklion and Agios Nicolaos is frequent which makes Stalida an exquisite choice for visitors who want to explore more places in the island. Heraklion is the biggest city in Crete, and offers visitors the ability to dine at many famous restaurants, enjoy the nightlife, explore the capital’s sightseeings and the vast variety of shops.

Golden Bee Hotel is located on an ideal spot by the sea, in Stalida and near the main road allowing easy transportation while the bus station is only few metres away from the entrance.
